First Consultation and Control

Usual time for first consultation is one hour. Usual time for control is half an hour. However, this is not a rigid rule. It is necessary to set a date for both first consultation or control. It is important to cancel the appointment with time anough to allow some other family to get the time, in case you finally cannot reach the clinic on the fixed date.

First consultation follows a classical structure: anamnesis is the information offered by the apetient and family to make the clinical history. Exploration and patient evaluation is based also on protocolized exploration by systems and some antropometric and surface measurements (like Angle of Trunk Inclincation by using scoliometer).

Surface topography is another exploration tool informing about back asymmetry. Surface topography systems is not a validated way in order to substitut the radiographic information but a complementary exploration to objectively measure back asymmetry, and important aspect of the scolisis and kyphosis clinical picture. Other non radiographic explorations like Orthelius, used in our center in the past have been abandoned.

The center is considering the possibility to use in the future other explorations like uLtrasound. Dr. Will also measure and interpret radiographs that you might provide, or will order it in necessary case for the initial diagnose or for control, but radiograohs are not made in our center.
